A collection of over 100 excellent diploma projects from university students in Japan
Published as an extra edition since 1984, DIPLOMA PROJECT introduces viewpoints and expressions from the younger generation. It also contributes to architectural culture. Now, more than 100 universities participate in this magazine.
A diploma project is the first chance for a student to search freely for connections between society and oneself through their design. "Production Note" shows the hardship, delight, problems and solutions when working on their own theme.
For students who have yet to complete their diploma projects, the critical yet heartfelt “Word of Recommendation” from University professors and lecturers as well as the engaging foreword from senior designers in the field will certainly offer useful advice.
